Obv.: Half-part shield of Jerusalem and Anjou under a moon accosted by two six-pointed stars and confined on each side by a rose between two six-pointed stars: + KAROL’. DEI. GRA. IERL’M. SICILIE. REX.(transl.: Charles, by the grace of God, King of Jerusalem and Sicily).

Rev.: Archangel Gabriel, standing left, saluting the Virgin right; in the center a lily in a pot (symbol of virginity): + AVE . GRACIA . PLENA . DOMINUS . TECUM(transl.: Hail Mary, full of grace, may the Lord be with you).
