Vlag – Huge WW2 US Army 48 Star ”Burial” / Ceremony Flag – stitched stripes/stars

A nice 100% original KIA burial 48 star flag flag, a large 5x9.5 feet, with stitched (!) stars and stitched stripes. These were issued by The US Military for the burial ofsoldiers who had fallen in battle or other comparable ceremonies - see also the typical reinforced corners of military flags. This would have draped across the coffin before burial - this size is known to be used for this purporse.. The combination of stitched strips and stitched stripes are typical of WW2 issued samples. there are some holes here and there, because of the age. See photo'as they are part of the description.
