Projecting from one end of the ring, forming the clasp, are twin right-angled triangles. The triangular plates are decorated with finely executed geometric and punched ornamentation characteristic of Viking Age bronze work. Each triangle features a raised circular central motif surrounded by ring-and-dot decoration, framed within a textured field of small punched impressions. The borders are accentuated with rope-like linear bands running along the edges, while the lower sections display additional curved and semicircular motifs that enhance the symmetrical composition. The overall decorative scheme combines embossed and punched elements to create a rich visual texture despite the compact size of the brooch. A narrow pin wraps around the thicker ring and would hook between the two triangles in order to hold the brooch in place.
