Exceedingly difficult to find - an original Heart Shield Bible, from 1943 when these shields were sold. This bible is in reasonable condition except for significant wear on the spine,; see photo's as they are part of the description. the cover has a beautiful patina and it is named to a cpl, i havent done any researh, see photo's The metal plates were to prevent a bullet from reaching the soldier’s heart (which they did on several occasions. surface of the bible has a great patina and has the text: ''May this keep you safe from harm.
