Nice 100% original ike jacket of a Sgt who served with the 63rd Infantry Division as an infantry man. The 63rd Infantry Diviision is famous for being part of Taskforce Harry in the European theatre of operations, engaging in heavy combat in the Colmar Pocket, Rhine river area and many german areas. The ike jacket is in nicely worn condition and the overseas stripes (5, indicating >2,5 year overseas service), the owner must have seen action oveseas. He earned a good conduct medal and the European and Med Campaign medal, indicating he served in Europe with the 63rd Infantry Divisiion. The ike jacket has a beautiful age patina and is not a depot piece. The label dates this jacket to june 1944. The jacet also has a nice original sert of infnstrty collar discs.
