US Army Map Reading / Compass Handbook – with maps + tools – Airborne – Infantry – Ranger – Named to officer – 1944

Rare official USA army Map Reading Handbook (dated Feb 1944, published for the Normandy campaign) related to techniques of map reading, interpretation of landscapes, fortifications, etc. Really cool and funny cartoons (See attached photo's), including depictions of a willys jeep.. Fantastic book full of information and photo's of the latter techniques. etc. The pocket on the last pages also contains two maps and measurement material. Very difficult to find army Map reading manual for your USA WW2 collection! The book is nicely named to the original owner (an officer, Allen, with service number O-1642918).
