Exceedingly difficult to find - an original Heart Shield Bible, from 1943 when these shields were sold. It is named to Richard W Parks and it was a gift from his mom.. This bible is in nice condition for its age - see photo's as they are part of the description. the cover has a beautiful patina and it has his name neatly written inside. The metal plates were to prevent a bullet from reaching the soldier’s heart (which they did on several occasions. surface of the bible has a great patina and has the text: ''May God Bless You''.
