Sony TC-366 Three-Head Solid State Stereo Tapecorder (1970-1973)A very lovely Sony TC-366 reel-to-reel tape deck from the early 1970s. This model is highly regarded for its robust 'Solid State' transistor electronics and its unique, ergonomic 'slant-haul' cabinet layout, allowing it to be operated either horizontally or vertically.Cleaned the heads. Sprayed potmeters. Lubrication of the motor. Little cleaning of rubber parts. I tested with old tapes. These are included in the delivery. The main drive belts are old. While the deck currently runs well, a fresh set of belts is recommended to ensure perfect, long-term tape speed stability. Additionally, the internal rubber idler wheels (intermediate drive wheels inside the mechanism) and the pinch roller are in their original vintage condition. For peak performance during fast-rewinding and playback, replacing or conditioning these rubber parts along with the belts is recommended in the future.Important Operating Tip for the Buyer:The screws on the front plastic reel tables are precisely adjusted for minimal mechanical friction. See the last photo. Please note: these screws must never be overtightened, as doing so will cause excessive drag. It probably misses a washer.Specifications:Heads: Hyperbolic Regular HeadsTrack system: 4-track, 2-channel, stereo/monaural systemSerial Number: 59281Heads: 1x erase, 1x record, 1x playback (Three-head... lees verder bij Catawiki
