Sonny Clark – Dial “S” For Sonny First mono pressing of Sonny Clark’s classic 1957 Blue Note album Dial “S” For Sonny, featuring an outstanding lineup with Art Farmer, Curtis Fuller, Hank Mobley, Wilbur Ware and Louis Hayes. Released in the USA on Blue Note Records, BLP 1570. A highly desirable early Blue Note session and an essential title for any serious jazz collection. Condition: EX/VG+ – cover is in Excellent condition. Side 1 is VG+; track 1 has a lightly feelable scratch which causes a few intermittent ticks towards the end of the bass solo, while the remainder of the side plays VG+. Side 2 plays VG++. Overall, a very nice original first pressing with strong playing surfaces.
