A fine Chinese porcelain saucer from the Kangxi period (1662–1722). Painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a central scene of a pagoda among clouds, flanked by two cranes in mirrored position. The rim is richly decorated.The reverse is covered in a café au lait glaze, also known as a Batavia brown ground, contrasting beautifully with the vivid blue decoration on the front.
