A two-tiered brass and smoked glass coffee table, believed to have originated in 1970s Italy. This design features two sheets of tempered smoked glass, housed in a brass frame. The corners and joints of the frame itself are strengthened in a gold acrylic casing, adding a child-friendly aspect to the splendour of this table. The two levels of glass make this piece supremely practical - the level below can house magazines or coffee table books, whilst the top layer can be adorned with ornaments or sculptures. Wear consistent with age and use. Some patina and discolouration on the brass, but this does not distract from the overall good condition of the piece.
