Inside some foxing but mostly quite clean and complete.After the embarrassment of his first expedition - Ross sighted what he thought were mountains blocking the western end of Lancaster Sound and turned back, despite objections from his officers - in his second voyage Ross traveled to Boothia Peninsula, where he found remnants of Parry's ship 'Fury’. Ross and his men were stuck in the ice for four years, using their time with mapping, hunting, learning skills from the Inuit and making scientific inquiries, one of which discovered the North Magnetic Pole.
