It is a fully mechanical camera, it only uses a battery for the light meter (CdS) . This camera was designed to be compact and very user friendly, with simple and effective controls. It was one of the smallest SLR's on the market at that time, but due to its robust construction it is quite hefty. Contrary to popular belief, the SL35 is a pretty reliable camera and in case of any mishap relatively easy to fix. The lenses provided were at the time among the best available, being manufactured either by Schneider or Carl Zeiss.This SL35 is in a lovely condition, with only very minor marks of wear, please check out the detailed pictures and judge yourself. It comes with three top notch lenses, the Scheider 1.8/50 Xenon, the Carl Zeiss 2.8/35 Distagon and the Carl Zeiss 2.8/85 Sonnar. The Xenon is already uncommon, but the Sonnar is a pretty rare bird.
