Revue Thommen Air Speed Chronograph Automatic – Ref. 17030.6534Revue Thommen has been making Swiss watches since 1853, but the story of the brand goes beyond traditional watchmaking. From the 1920s, the company also developed precision instruments for the aviation industry. That technical background is clearly visible in the Air Speed collection, where the design combines the appearance of an aviation instrument with the mechanics of a Swiss automatic chronograph. The Ref. 17030.6534 is a particularly robust version of the Air Speed. The large 45.5 mm 316L stainless steel case is combined with a matte black dial, black rubber strap and contrasting luminous indexes. The overall design is technical and sporty, while the chronograph gives the watch an additional functional character.Inside is the well-known Swiss Made ETA 7750 automatic chronograph movement with 25 jewels. The movement is combined with a chronograph, day and date indication and operates as a fully mechanical automatic timepiece. The watch is fitted with flat sapphire crystal with a magnifying lens over the date at 3 o’clock. With 30 ATM / 1,000 feet water resistance, a screw-down construction and a substantial 24 mm black rubber strap, this is a watch designed for demanding conditions.
