A unique book for Dutch collectors - het Uur U, a photographic report of the resistance in Delft and surroudings, published in 1945/1946. This is a book that belongs in a museum; only 130 copies were published after 1946; printed on wartime paper.During the final months of World War II and the liberation, some 2,500 photographs were taken in and around Delft. Of these, approximately 1,300 images remain. They shot all these photos with just five Leica cameras. The photographers were aware that they could never fully capture on film and image what the occupiers inflicted and what the resistance achieved during that miserable, terrible time. "It was of the utmost importance to record as many facts from this period as possible," they later explained.
