Dutch Army model backpack (Ransel Model 1915). Made of sturdy, thick field gray/sand-colored canvas. The backpack is beautifully maker-marked by the company "Van der Horst & de Heus." Leather straps for attaching the mess pannier are present at the bottom of the backpack. The backpack is complete with leather carrying straps, which were attached to the front of the packs or belt loops. A beautiful, original backpack in very good condition! Only of the front straps has a repair, but otherwise very good for its age. Great and rare 100% original item use during WW1 and during May 1940!
