In Japan, it was released as two separate sets: Awakened Heroes and Ultradimensional Beasts. • Japanese release: September 15, 2017 • English release: November 3, 2017 So, the set is already 8 years old! 2. Theme & content • The set introduced the Ultra Beasts as Pokémon-GX cards, including Nihilego-GX, Buzzwole-GX, Kartana-GX, and Guzzlord-GX. • The theme centers around the invasion of Ultra Beasts into the Alola region, with Pokémon like Silvally-GX standing as defenders. • Other notable inclusions were Alolan forms (e.g., Alolan Exeggutor-GX, Alolan Marowak) and strong Trainer cards such as Lusamine and Gladion. 3.
