This semi-automatic, belt-driven Pioneer PL-15D record player is a well-preserved and fully functional vintage turntable, with the unmistakable charm of 1970s Japanese hi-fi design. It was professionally serviced in October 2025, and is ready to play.Included is a working vintage Lencolamp, and a classic Elac STS 155 cartridge with the original Stereo 155-17 stylus, tested in good condition. The Lencolamp automatically turns on when the dustcover is opened, and switches off again as soon as you close the lid — a clever detail.The dark walnut-finished wooden base is in excellent shape, with balanced black-silver tones that give the unit a timeless appearance. During servicing, a brand-new belt was installed, new suspension foam fitted, all contacts cleaned, and both motor and spindle lubricated.The PL-15D runs perfectly at both 33 and 45 rpm. Unlike the similar-looking but manual PL-12D, this model is semi-automatic and features a fully functional automatic stop mechanism, which can also be engaged manually using the silver STOP button on the front panel.The original Pioneer dustcover is clear and smooth to the touch, showing only light signs of use and a visible mark near the Pioneer logo (see photo 11).
