No sale / shipping outside the EU !Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom period, 19th Dynasty, 1292-1189 BC. A well-preserved and hand-carved wooden ushabti. The figure stands in mummiform with slender legs, with elbows projecting from its sides. Faint hieroglyphic symbols tracing down the lower body. The head with a tripartite wig which frames a minimalist face. Wooden ushabti are of far greater rarity than their stone or faience counterparts due to the rapid rate of decomposition over time.I have included a scan of the original certificate dated 1978 bij Paul Verite, a Parisian expert who owned the "Gallerie Carrefour" , 141, Boulevard Raspail, Paris in the 70-80's.The original certificate is not in my possesion ,just the scan.
