Up for auction is a nice and rare 1944/1945 dated (according to the archives, not dated as such but NATOUSA ceased to exist after this time) official US Army Pocket Guide to Rome, as issued to US troops invading and occupying this area from 1944 onwards. The US Morale Services Section, HQ SOS, Natousa ( North African Theater of Operations, United States Army) produced this booket ''A Soldier’s Guide to Rome''. This interesting and decorative US Army book gives insights into this famous city, as well as basics in language so that the US soldier / paratrooper would be familiar with the environment, including maps. It was actually used by the soldier, see the adresses that he wrote iwth pencil on the back. The booklet is in good condition for its age!
