Very old Kanak Mushroom war club, New CaledoniaCommonly known as 'Mushroom' club ; the head of the club clearly remenisses to either of these forms. This type of club was predominantly used in combat as a weapon. The shaft ending in a handle which flares to a slightly wider diameter, a raised cylindrical form. This type of handle is characteristic of Kanak clubs.Made of dense hardwood, darker chocolate brown.
