The set could stand alone as a great pictorial record of itsera but it is, as well, well known for its topographical description and social history.A composite account of Ireland for wich the information was gathered on five tours undertaken between 1825 and 1841.The wood-engraved text illustrations are chiefly by Fairholt, Harvey, Nicholl and Sargent.Illustrators include W.H. Bartlett, T. Creswick, J.H. Burgess and T.C. Croker.Books (with some repairs to the spines) complete and in good condition. Weight ca. 4,5 kg.
