In this set: A. Minolta MAXXUM 7000i – body (1988)The Minolta Maxxum 7000i is a 35mm autofocus SLR camera. It utilizes Minolta A-Mount lenses. This camera was one of the first Minolta-models in which ergonomic design of the body was taken serious. A remarkable design element is a slope upon the ergonomic grip which bears the camera’s LCD-display. To (auto-)focus the camera has two horizontal AF sensors and one vertical AF sensor which together can be switched from static to continuous or continuous predictive focusing. Autofocus can be supported by a built-in support light. Metering is not center-weighted but focused on the image area where one of the AF sensors spots the subject.
