Offered for auction is a nice original and not that easy to find (boxed) Bronze Star medal, lapel pin and ribbon bar as awarded during WW2. The unique aspect is that this Bronze Star is named to Walter Lowen, a jewish service member, who bravely fought during the North African and Siciliy campaign, where he earned his bronze tar. Plenty of him can be find online, see some attached photo's. The engraving is of the correct type. He passed away in 2011. His daughter states on the internet that indee dhe earned this bronze star during WW2. Due to his campaigns, he may have been part of the famous ''Big Red One'' 1st infantry division. It is very difficult to find a bronze star engraved to a jewish service member! The box and medal and accesoires are thus in generally good condition, see photo's, overall a great set. See all photo's for an important own impression, as they are part of the description. Great boxed medal for your WW2 collection!
