A rare and beautiful 18th century pewter jug. A so-called Jersey Pot 1 Measure. This jug was made and marked on the top of the lid with the master mark of John De St Croix circa 1730-1750. The jug is beautifully constructed with a thick baluster shape with a long neck. The thumb rest is provided with 2 acorns and a jawed hinge. The owners initials MLC are on the handle.
