Houghton Klito No 1 Box Plate Camera. Falling box-plate camera. A wooden camera with black leatherette covering and a black leather handle on the top. Divided back door to allow exposed plates to be moved without interfering with unexposed plates. Inside are no plate holders size : 3¼ x 4¼ plates. A Rapid Achromatic lens with an iris diaphragm. A patent Klito shutter which allows the front shutter to be tested and adjustd without exposing the plates. The shutter release button is on the side of the camera. Two brilliant viewfinders one the top and side of body. Tripod bushes on side and base of body. Markings - Inside the small back door a paper label giving details and instructions on "The Adjustable Speed Indicator". On side of camera metal plate with "Klito No 1 British Made".
