Collector's item: a Höfner Verithin-Standard - HCT-Brunette + BIGSBY.. The Höfner-Verithin (4574 named in EU), was a very popular model offered throughout the 1960's and into the 70's. The name was used because the body depth was just 1.25" (3 com) making it the thinnest arch top available . In 1995 there was a buy-out at Höfner. In the years since, there has been a resurgence throughout Höfner with expansion into overseas manufacturing and the development of new guitar-models. A complete new range of electric guitars designed HCT, was development incorporating many designs that reflect heritage models from the 1950's and 1960's. The HCT model range, like this item, has proved incredibly popular. Actually, the HCT-Verithinb is one of the most successful models for Höfner in recent years. This item has also the rare BRIGSBY-tremelo, that was a popular option between 1963-1965, particularly with the stylem of music played back in the early 1960's (f.i.: Hank Marvin of The Shadows played it).
