Collector's item: the Höfner-Senator-Electric, (1958) in a very good condition. The Höfner Senator was the only non-cutaway model in Selmer's regular Höfner rangent come in both acoustic and electric form. It was also avaibble as a Thin Line model, but, according to Höfner's records, very few of these were shipped. The Senator was slightly smaller than the President and a touch longer than the Congres. The Senator was a popular model, with in total 3.300 units (Blonde, Brunette and Electric) being shipped in 1958 alone. The Senator was a fairly plain guitar using the same bridge and tailpiece as the President. The Senator was fitted with the "SUPER RESPONSE" double pole pick-up, controlled by single-plate "Flick Action" control. The exclusive Höfner "Slendaneck" gives you the faster playing action and the new internal metal Truss Rod allows adjustment of the neck. It has Rosewood cambered fingerboard, single solid barred machine head. Nickel-silver fret, compensator tailpiece. The guitar is -for it's age- in a very good condition.
