Original page with miniature painting from the 'Shahnameh'. The 'Shahnama' or Book of Kings is an epic poem written in 1010 and containing about 60,000 couplets. Its author was the Abu Al-Qasim Firdausi (Ferdowsi). The painting illustrates King Faridun who receives the envoy of his sons. It epicts It captures the historical and cultural significance of the Middle Eastern Empire, illustrating the themes of power, diplomacy, and family dynamics. Artwork is beautifull gold painted. Estimated age around 1800 or older. Page: 12 x 19 cm. Frame: 23 x 34 cm.
