A killer sounding '78 Tele with a cool 'blackguard' look to it. The maple fingerboard, blonde finish & black pickguard going back to the '50s & the early days of Leo Fender's ground-breaking design. This particular model demonstrates great tone & texture with a comfortable, rounded maple neck & classic sounding single coils, delivering that brilliant, clear tone we've come to love from Telecasters over the years. This one comes with a lot of extras! Original tolex case, hangtag and even the warranty card!Apart from some things it's nearly all original. Finish, hardware, neck and no extra cavities. Everything you want to see.As far as non-original, the Tele has been refretted (very well) with Dunlop 6100's and the bridge pickup has been replaced by a boutique pickup. Somewhere in the past the Tele has had Schaller tuners but it's back to originals now. Volume pot has been replaced but original is included.The weight is not bad weighing in at 4,1 kg, especially for 70's Fenders.Almost 50 years old and set for another 50 years of rocking, this Telecaster is awesome and ready for it's new owner!
