Pair of English Chesterfield Club Armchairs – Burgundy Leather – circa 1970Elegant matching pair of original English Chesterfield club armchairs, made in England and dating from circa 1970.The armchairs are upholstered in rich burgundy-red leather and feature traditional deep-button tufting, generous rolled arms and decorative brass-coloured nailhead trim.Over the years, the leather has developed an attractive and authentic patina, with natural colour variations, creases and age-related signs of use that enhance their distinctive vintage character.Both armchairs have recently been carefully treated with a special leather-care gel. This treatment nourished the leather and refreshed its natural sheen and rich colour without concealing the original patina.Condition:The armchairs are in good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use. One armchair has a small but clearly visible area of rubbing and surface leather loss on the rear edge of the backrest. This imperfection has deliberately not been repaired or concealed and is clearly shown in the detailed photographs.Additional minor scratches, creases, colour variations and wear are present and consistent with the age of the armchairs.The armchairs are sold as a matching pair.Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the condition description.
