Ejvind Kold Christensen – Poul Kjaerholm – Lounge stoel – PK22 – Leather, Metaal

An absolutely stunning original PK22 lounge chair designed by Poul Kjaerholm and manufactured by Ejvind Kold Christensen, Denmark 1956.The seat and back are fitted with a laced canvas under layer to provide support. You can clearly see this chair was designed by an architect, where it seems such a minimalistic and simple piece. To design something so delicate but yet so sturdy and strong, takes some serious structural knowledge. The chair is in fully original condition with the exeption of the corners of the leather seating which have been patched for extra strength. The chair has an amazing patina from years of use and aging making this chair even more beautiful, unique and characteristic. When you look at this chair you can truly feel the life it has been through. But still in good condition without damages or tears to the leather (it has signs of use, around the corners of the seat and backrest, please see fotos as part of the description.)The back of the chairs cover is cross stitched which is how this was done originally in the first production, it’s a nice and skilled detail.
