An authentic Zeiss Ikon Contax III, manufactured around 1938 in Dresden, Germany.Comes with the original Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 5cm f/2 lens (No. 2272143). A highly regarded pre-war optic.Condition: • Cosmetically good with some normal age-related wear (see photos for details) • Shutter fires correctly and can be seen opening and closing • Lens glass appears clear; aperture blades move smoothly • Exposure meter untested (common for this model) • Original body covering and engravings intact • Not serviced or tested with filmA fine example of Zeiss’s pre-war engineering excellence.
