Chinese Peachbloom-Glazed Bottle VaseQing Dynasty, 19th centuryA finely potted Chinese porcelain bottle vase covered in an attractive and richly mottled peachbloom-style glaze, dating to the late Qing dynasty. The vase is elegantly formed with a compressed pear-shaped body rising from a slightly spreading foot to a tall cylindrical neck.The neck is covered in a vivid mottled glaze of pinkish-red and liver tones, gradually transitioning into a darker copper-green oxidized glaze over the body and lower sections. The natural variation and transmutation of the glaze create a striking painterly effect highly admired in monochrome Qing porcelains.The interior and recessed base are coated in a pale white glaze, while the unglazed foot rim shows characteristic firing discoloration from the kiln process. Although inspired by the celebrated Kangxi-period peachbloom wares produced for the imperial court, this example reflects the continued appreciation and revival of such sophisticated monochrome glazes during the 19th century.Dimensions:H 18 × W 11 cmCondition:Overall in good condition with one minor hairline crack of approximately 1 cm to the rim of the neck.
