DescriptionA fine Chinese porcelain plate from the Kangxi period (1662–1722), painted in underglaze cobalt blue. The center shows a seated monk resting on a rock within a gentle landscape setting. The rim is decorated with flowing panels (cartouches) alternating between floral and landscape motifs.The plate is lightly contoured and molded, with a clear and balanced composition.
