The deity holds a flask or sacred vessel in her left hand, symbolising mercy and the dispensing of spiritual nourishment, while the right hand is extended downward in a gesture of blessing and reassurance (varada mudra), signifying compassion bestowed upon the earthly realm.The figure is raised on a square base with a red lacquer inscription, recording a dedicatory text dated to 11 October 1918 (Taishō 7). The inscription reads:大正七年法名釋實好信十月十一日宮腰町出町榮次郎“Buddhist name: Shaku Jikkōshin (釈実好信).Dedicated by Demachi Eijirō (出町栄次郎) of Miyakoshi-chō (宮腰町).”Such dedicatory inscriptions indicate the object’s function as a memorial or devotional offering, likely commissioned for merit-making purposes within a Buddhist context during the Taishō period.Dimensions:H38 (Kannon 19cm) X W13 X D9,5 cmCondition:In good condition.
