Anvia Almelo – J.J.M. Hoogervorst – Bureaulamp – Eclipse – Metaal

This beautiful little lamp was made by Anvia Almelo, the Netherlands. It was designed bij JJM Hoogervorst a famous dutch lamp designer. Moreover it is in a very nice condition which is not that common for this lamp model.The lamp is all around made of light-weight aluminum, the material of choice in the period of space exploration.The whole eclipse theme of the lamp is of course a further unmistakable space and atomic age reference.A slightly oval yet round shaped outer shade has a perforated half circle inner shade in it that can be rotated with the help of the chromed finial on top. Small added design touches are the fact that the inner shade is perforated to create the effect of a starry night and the fact that the inner shade is coated in a distinct color. For the lamp on offer here the color is pine green on the outside and lava orange on the inside but Anvia edited this lamp with the inner shade in several bright colors.
