Both examples feature elongated leaf-shaped blades with pronounced central ribs and tubular sockets for mounting onto a wooden shaft. Their streamlined form provided strength while maintaining a relatively light weight, making them effective projectiles for both hunting and warfare.Bronze socketed arrowheads represented an important technological development over earlier tanged forms.
