The gilded decoration is slightly worn through age and devotional use, yet remains visible in parts of the robe, bearing witness to the figure’s original splendour.Amida Nyorai is the principal Buddha of Pure Land Buddhism, revered as the embodiment of infinite compassion and salvation.
