An extremely rare ALPINA B5s LCI Individual from 2008.General:The ALPINA B5 was introduced in 2005 as the successor to the B10, and unlike the BMW M5, ALPINA took a completely different technical approach with the E60 B5. No high-revving V10 with SMG, but a torque-rich supercharged V8 engine with a 6-speed ZF transmission. Both had a power output of no less than 500 HP. However, the power delivery was completely different. Whereas the V10 had to be deliberately encouraged to accelerate, the supercharged V8 shot away instantly at any RPM.It is rare for ALPINA to match or surpass a BMW M product in terms of power. Nevertheless, in 2008, ALPINA dared to go all out by introducing the B5s, based on the Facelift BMW E60/E61, which surpassed the BMW M5 not only in torque but also in power!
