This ''Convivio'' cookware set, designed by Jasper Morrison for the renowned brand Alessi is a family of pots and pans conceived for ease of use and healthy cooking, ''Convivio'' merges the quality and functional features of professional kitchen tools with thoughtful design, making it particularly suitable for elevating home cooking. This series is conceived to perform at its best on the stove, but also to be suitable for serving and presenting food at the table. The design process was informed by the dialogue with the prominent contemporary Michelin-starred chef Pietro Leemann, an advocate of good and natural nutrition who provided insights and suggestions for optimal food preparation. Investigating the possibilities of vegetarian cuisine, the various items were analysed, calibrating the best technical, dimensional and typological choices, making ''Convivio'' both universal and particularly suitable for cooking vegetables and pulses. The name ''Convivio'' pays tribute to cooking as an activity that is both aesthetic and convivial, capable of forming a community by gathering people around the preparation and enjoyment of food.
