Traditional Myanmar/Birma Akha Hill tribe women's headdress in superb condition.The Akha people were originaly from the Tibetan borderlands and Yunnan province in southwest China.Over the pas few centuries, they moved southwards, establishing communities in the rugged highlands of Southeast Asia.The current population is spread between Myanmar (Birma), Thailand and Laos.The example up for auction is a Birmese example, showing Birmese Kyat coins from the seventies.
