Lot DescriptionThis exceptional, turn-of-the-century French gentleman's smoking lot features a rare, complete companion holder set from the prestigious Paris boutique "A L'Algérie", manufactured by the historic artisan Alexandre Martel (located at 147 Boulevard Saint-Germain, Paris). Rather than a uniform design, this luxury presentation set was intentionally curated as a complementary, multi-material contrast set to showcase the finest materials of the late Victorian and Edwardian eras.The set consists of one short, wide-bored cigar holder and one matching, slimmer cigarette holder. Both remain preserved inside their original, custom-molded presentation box, which features separate velvet-lined channels contoured to snugly hold each individual instrument.Material Analysis & ComponentsThe Cigar Holder: A premium mixed-material piece featuring a wide aperture designed to fit cigars or cheroots.
