2007 Jean François Ganevat “Les Vignes de mon Père” – Jura – 1 Fles (0,75 liter)

The greatest bottle ever had of Ganevat's Domaine was 'Les Vignes de mon Pere' 2006 that I had in January this year, it was extremelly superb. That cuvée is consider one of his best and noticeable wines in the portfolio, and besides that it was a Magnum! such a wine spend no less than 130 months in demi-muids (600 litres oak barrel’s), or in other words 10 years. I remember that was vertical and precise, as well very subttle (12,5% vol) with an incredible finnesse and complexity. Few days ago I had a chance to drunk with the same fellas (I stopped tasting wines long ago, I am no longer sommelier on duty...) Les Varrons VV (which we had it also in December last year, but this time the experience was better as we tend to drink the wine to quick since oppened...big mistake). This the first vintage of this cuvee produced after years working on the vines, in fact for more than a decade, but surprisingly come up with the vintage 2018. We should not mistaken to ‘Les Varrons’ from Domaine Labet. Such a vineyard was planted at the beginning of the last century, precisely in 1922. 'Fanfan' Ganevat... lees verder bij Catawiki
