1950 – vintage golf club – wood – Driver 3

Beautiful looking steel shafted wooden driver golf club with very decorative face in black and white.The pretty face shape is not often seen, made of ivorine or other early plastics and let in the face of the wood.The type of wood for the club head is uncertain, its stripes makes us think of Tiger wood. The wood is oil tempered, a proces to make the clubhead more durable and hard wearing. A large metal/aluminium sole plate underneath nicely shaped to fit the wood. The brass sole plate is marked REG 8087 and what look SR, possibly the brand. It has a stepped steel (chromed) shaft and a rubber grip. It is 108 cm long. It's a very nice decorative golfclub .
