This very collactable putter is the "Braid Mills” R.B.B. aluminium putter made by the The Standard Golf Company Sunderland. Braid was part of the Great Triumvirate (Braid, Vardon and Taylor) These three men won all championships from 1894 to 1914 Theis putter was endorsed by Braid and sold very well.It has the patentnummer stamped in the aluminium head.Sir William Mills (24 April 1856 – 7 January 1932) was an English engineer.He produced some of Britain's earliest aluminium golf clubs: Patent, No 13545. known as Metallic Golfing Instrument Heads. He was a keen golfer and had joined the Wearside Golf Club in around 1892. The English company became more well known as Standard Mills because of Sir William Mills and his production of Mills bombs (hand grenades) in World War I.It has a hickory shaft and original leather grip.
