Chinese porcelain blue de hue bowl, marked – China – 19th Century
On offer is a special and rare blue de hue bowl with nice floral decoration and an excellent written 4 character mark. a Thin bronze frame is mounted around the rim. Taking the exceptional quality of the décor and of the beautifully written mark into account, this bowl may be intended for the court or high court officials. Nice bowl, very white porcelain, rare quality! Date: mid-19th Century. Size: Measures about 10cm across. Condition: very good! Condition under de frame is unknown. Blue de Hue: Chinese blue and white export porcelain for the Vietnamese market. The best “Bleu de Hue” was ordered by the Vietnamese court. Most of them were produced in Jingdezhen with special designs and marks.
