Christ as Salvator Mundi. Allegory. The flight into Egypt. With old brown ink accents and shadows added by a painter artist master.
The hand of saint John, as a child, improved and changed pointing at Hercules.
Additional shading on the dragon, at Saint Johns head. Accents on the two stones and giving more dept to the engraving.

The young Christ standing on the evil dragon, next to a fallen sculpture. The Holy Virgin looking upwards.
To the right the young Saint John and above him Hercules defeating the seven headed dragon Hydra.
At the back left Saint Jozef.

Etching made by Giovanni Cesare Testa (1630-1655) ca 1637-1691. He was the nephew and supposed pupil of Pietro Testa.

Published by Giovanni Giacomo de’ Rossi in Rome ca 1653-1657.
