Metamorfosi – Inferno – LP Album – 1ste persing – 1973/1973

Metamorfosi was an outstanding Italian progrock band, close to Banco, early PFM, Le Orme and (a bit of) Emerson, Lake & Palmer. “Inferno” is their second and best album, and according to progarchives reviewers it’s one of the greatest classics of Italian prog.

“Inferno” is a complex dynamic conceptual suite, based on Dante’s “La Divina Comedia”, heavy on the keyboards, and full of surprises.

Davide Spitaleri’s voice is emotive and fantastic, and melodies and instrumentation (great keyboards, specially organ) gives to the listener an unforgettable trip to hell. “Caronte”, “Spacciatore Di Droga” and “Lucifero” are incredible highlights in this mandatory album. Songs are very well recorded and performed with great talent and a high degree of passion and expressionism.

A few more words on the condition: the vinyl plays perfectly, with matrix run outs VPA 8162 A 30-1-1973 and VPA 8162 B 30-1-1973.
The beautiful gatefold cover is also in excellent, close to NM condition, no writing or other flaws, just some minimal wear on the lower left corner.

This gem is an almost impossible find, surely in this condition, please check discogs.
