Jacob’s Well 84 proof Kentucky straight bourbon, distilled by Jim Beam and released on the American market for a small period of time from 1997 and onward.
This peculiar bourbon has been aged for 84 months (7 years) in selected and blended oak casks, in a second attempt of Jim Beam to release a so called “micro bourbon” under the Hardin’s Creek banner, due to the rising popularity of small batch bourbons.
A cool, collectible marketing curiosity that didn’t last long yet resulted in an old fashioned (pre-Suntory) Jim Beam bourbon: sweet bread and rye notes on the nose, fruity/blueberry on the palate and an oaky and rye finish.
